Jacey Hornecker is a Shareholder with Simon Greenstone Panatier, PC.
Ms. Hornecker is part of SGP’s Law and Motions Department, and is responsible for briefing, pre-trial motions, post-trial motions and other trial-related matters in all of the firm’s practice areas in both state and federal courts across the nation.
Ms. Hornecker spent 10 years as a scientific researcher prior to entering the legal field. After graduating from Texas State University with a bachelor of science degree in Biology in 2002. Jacey attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she obtained a master of science degree in cellular and structural biology in 2005. With a focus in reproductive and developmental biology, Ms. Hornecker conducted research in various areas, including stem cell biology, and authored several publications. She completed law school, graduating from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2012, while simultaneously working full-time as a laboratory manager and stem cell researcher at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
After transitioning to the practice of law, Ms. Hornecker had the privilege to clerk for the Bexar County Staff Attorney’s Office, providing legal assistance to Bexar County’s 14 Civil District Court Judges and the Presiding Court. Upon leaving the Staff Attorney’s Office, Ms. Hornecker launched her litigation career representing plaintiffs in various areas of the law, including fighting big insurance companies on behalf of insured homeowners in first-party insurance litigation, representing patients in medical malpractice suits, and holding other professionals accountable for their malpractice. At Simon Greenstone Panatier, Ms. Hornecker continues to fight for plaintiffs’ rights in asbestos, catastrophic injury, products liability, and toxic torts litigation.
