Cassidy Stewart is an associate attorney at Simon Greenstone Panatier, P.C.
Ms. Stewart focuses her practice on representing individuals and families affected by asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Stewart practiced medical malpractice defense at a prominent New York law firm, where she represented hospitals and medical professionals in matters involving allegations of medical malpractice and wrongful death. Through this experience, she developed a deep understanding of defense strategies, case valuation, expert development, and litigation tactics commonly employed by large institutions and their insurers.
Prior to her civil practice, Ms. Stewart worked for approximately five years as a prosecutor with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. There, she handled long-term investigations and prosecuted serious violent felony offenses, including attempted murder, felony assault, robbery, home invasion, and illegal firearm possession. She worked closely with victims and their families throughout every stage of the criminal process, guiding them through complex proceedings and advocating on their behalf in court. Cassidy presented more than 50 cases to the Grand Jury and successfully tried multiple cases to verdict. Her extensive courtroom experience, combined with her commitment to victim advocacy, forms the foundation of her litigation approach and continues to guide her representation of individuals and families facing life-altering harm.
Ms. Stewart earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, Cassidy developed a strong passion for trial work and victim advocacy through her involvement in the Moot Court program.
Ms. Stewart is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association. Cassidy resides in Queens, New York, with her husband. Outside of her practice, she enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants.
