David W. Henderson is a trial attorney with Simon Greenstone Panatier, PC.
Mr. Henderson has tried over 70 jury cases and successfully obtained multi-million-dollar trial verdicts and settlements.
David began his career at Vinson & Elkins before becoming an SVU prosecutor, trying cases ranging from capital murder to human trafficking to sexual assault. To become a more effective advocate, he joined Toastmasters International and was named World Champion of Public Speaking in 2010, leading Texas to recruit him to teach at its Trial Skills Course, the mandatory training program for new prosecutors. AmLaw 100 firms have also hired David to train thousands of their lawyers to communicate effectively.
Prior to joining Simon Greenstone Panatier, Mr. Henderson worked as a civil rights attorney, officing with Rev. Peter Johnson, a member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference who worked directly with Dr. King. During that time, David argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, helping challenge and update unjust laws, and secured multi-million-dollar settlements that expanded worker protections and strengthened government accountability. He also serves on the board of the ACLU of Texas.
Mr. Henderson has made hundreds of appearances as a legal analyst across NBC network programming, including The Today Show and Meet the Press, and his writing on civil rights has been published in the Washington Post and Newsweek.
