Matt La Sorsa is an associate attorney at Simon Greenstone Panatier, P.C.
Mr. La Sorsa joined Simon Greenstone Panatier in 2022 and focuses his practice on exposures to asbestos, talc, and talcum powder cases. Additionally, Matt has experience litigating cases involving medical malpractice, personal injuries, wrongful death, and construction site accidents.
Prior to joining Simon Greenstone Panatier, Mr. La Sorsa started his career as a prosecutor at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where he sought justice for the victims of New York on behalf of the state. During his time there, he handled a docket of hundreds of misdemeanor and felony matters, coordinated complex long-term investigations, indicted cases in the Grand Jury and tried multiple cases to verdict at trial which included two separate guilty verdicts of sexual abuse. After that, Matt switched his focus to civil law and spent the past two years practicing medical malpractice where he represented the major hospital institutions and physicians across New York State.
Mr. La Sorsa graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, New York where he was heavily involved in the school’s Mock Trial program. During his time in Law School competing in Mock Trial, Matt earned numerous accolades including a National Mock Trial Championship, the NYC Trial Lawyers Award for Excellency in Trial Advocacy and his school’s award for the top mock trial attorney for the class of 2017.
Mr. La Sorsa currently resides in Staten Island, New York with his wife. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is an active member of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn and the New York State Bar Association. Matt is an avid baseball fan having played his entire life and was Captain of the Club Baseball team at Villanova University.
