Michael T. Reid is an associate attorney who has worked with Simon Greenstone Panatier, PC, since March 2020.
Michael has made it his life’s mission to remember the forgotten and be a voice for the voiceless. He carries this mission out through trial work—passionately representing clients who have been harmed by the negligence and recklessness of others. Michael tried his first case within weeks of getting his law license, and sat first-chair within a year.
Prior to joining SGP, Michael negotiated multi-million-dollar settlements and tried cases successfully to verdict on behalf of injured clients. His practice primarily focuses on litigating personal injury matters, with an emphasis on cases involving asbestos and talcum powder products. Additionally, he has experience litigating cases involving catastrophic personal injuries, wrongful death, and defective products.
Michael obtained his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University and his law degree from Pepperdine School of Law. In law school, Michael was a faculty scholar—competing on both the moot court and trial team.
Michael strongly believes that today’s youth are tomorrow’s future. In his spare time, Michael coaches Pepperdine University’s mock trial team and serves as a mentor for first generation college students, like himself. He also teaches mock trial to at-risk middle school students and has worked in juvenile criminal defense.
